• Sunday, Oct. 29th at 2:30:  Covington Group Class performance in the lobby before Northwest Symphony family concert at the new Federal Way Performing Arts Center.  Gig Harbor musicians, and Chamber Music students are invited to join us.  Please RSVP.  We will perform for 20 minutes and wear a costume.

• Saturday, November 18th at 7:00: Gig Harbor Group Class performance in the lobby before Symphony Tacoma concert at the historical Pantages Theater downtown.  Covington Group Class and Chamber Music studentsare invited to join us.  Please RSVP.  We will perform for 20 minutes.

• Saturday, December 2nd: Russian Music Competition.  Several of our students won awards last year.  To participate, please let your teacher know of your interest right away and visit www.russianchambermusic.org/competition  It is a great opportunity to learn some music you didn’t know before!

• Saturday, December 2nd: Covington Group Class will join Melanie Barber’s studio for the annual Nativity Festival performance at the Maple Valley LDS Church.  Chamber Music students are invited to join us as well.  Dress rehearsal times will be announced.  We may also participate again in the Covington Tree Lighting.

• Thursdays, December 21st and 28th: no Covington group class.  Christmas break.
• Thursday, January 4th: Covington group class resumes.

• Friday, March 16th: Dalcroze and Pizza Part 3 for Chamber Music students4:15-7:15 at the Knight’s home

• March 19th through 23rd:  Seattle Young Artist Festival.  Students in fifth grade and up who are playing at book 4 or higher may sign up for a masterclass, which will be held during the day at UW.  You may play a concerto movement, a solo, or three contrasting selections.  This year’s registration deadline will be in mid-January.  Keep checking on the website for updated information: www.syamfa.org

• April 2nd through 7th:  Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside.  Students ages four through adult who have studied for at least one year may sign up for a masterclass, held at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue. Registration deadline is sometime in March.  Keep checking on the website for updated information: www.pafenorthwest.org
